About
CarnivoreCore is a bilingual reference on carnivore and animal-based eating.
Most writing on this topic is a sales page, a pile of anecdotes, or so cautious that nothing usable remains. The aim here is articles you can use as a decision aid and a reference: sources, tables, what the evidence actually supports.
What this is about
The questions that show up at the start and on a Tuesday: what strict carnivore means, what animal-based means, which foods deliver what, how the first weeks look, which blood markers deserve attention — and which interpretations are usually too simple.
The two approaches are kept separate on purpose. Someone who eats only ruminant meat is not in the same frame as someone who adds honey, fruit, or dairy. That should stay visible in the texts.
How we write
Where there is evidence, we cite or name it. Where the evidence is thin or contradictory, that is in the body — not only a footnote. Affiliate links and possible conflicts are marked; details live under Transparency. Transparency.
The masthead is Andreas Riedl. Individual pieces can name additional authors when that is relevant.
What this site is not
CarnivoreCore does not replace individual medical or dietetic advice. Diagnoses, medication, and lab reports belong with people who know you and your history.
